2017
Playoff Recap
Thank you all for what was probably the most competitive year of fantasy football! The 2017 championship saw the #2 seed Matt (Trust the Process) Caraballo edge out #1 seed Brad (Ye Olde Blumpkin) Riley, 107.70 - 82.44. This is Matt's first Blumpkin.
Brad had one of the strongest regular seasons we've ever seen, finishing 11-2 and averaging 131 points/game. Matt was the king of consistency, finishing the regular season 10-3. In the playoffs, he averaged 126.44 points/game and was able to breathe easily during both the semi-finals and championship.
Both Matt and Brad have appeared in the championship game once before, and now each shares a 1-1 record.
In our third-place matchup, Sam (Schaub on my Knob) Breslow beat Brian (4th and 26) Lada to finish in the money. Both Sam and Lada were plagued with injuries this season, to say the least. Sam's team exploded in the final week, where she outscored everyone in the league. This put Lada out of the money for the first time since 2013- I guess meeting your ironic hero, Freddie Mitchell, earlier in the season just wasn't enough.
Congrats to the winners, and BIG thanks to everyone for making this a fun league. Happiest New Year's to you all!
